2008 Award Pay Rates

The Australian Fair Pay Commission (AFPC) handed down its minimum pay determination in July 2008.The Commission has awarded pay increases of $1130 per year for all workers. The increases, which will take effect from October 1 2008, are payable on award rates and only affect staff not covered by a workplace agreement. This only applies to the workplaces covered by awards, where there are no workplace agreements in place.
