Browser Compatibility

If you're viewing this page, chances are it's because you are using an older web browser and aren't completely satisified with your NTEU web browsing experience. NTEU's stance on web technology is: forward compatibility at the cost of backward compatibility where necessary.

The World Wide Web Consortium and other standards bodies have created guidelines for displaying web based content. These standards are created with the long term goal of delivering theg reatest number of benefits to the greatest number of web users while ensuring the long-term viability of any document published on the Web.

Unfortunately not all web browsers, especially older ones, support these defined standards. If you're using an older browser or one that doesn't support standards then we recommend you upgrade to make the most of your internet experience. Failing that, you should still be able to make your way comfortably around the NTEU site and access all the content - it just won't look all that great.

Adopting standards on the web means delivering sites that are accessible to more people and more types of Internet devices. Sites developed along these lines will continue to function correctly as traditional desktop browsers evolve, and as new Internet devices come to market.
