Adult and Community Education

Welcome to the homepage for the Victorian Adult and Community Education and Companies (ACE and Companies) Branch of the National Tertiary Education Union.

NTEU has for many decades represented Adult Education Tutors, as well as Professional Administrative Clerical Computing & Technical (PACCT) Staff employed in Victorian Adult Education Centres.

The largest of these is the Centre for Adult Education – but there are many other Neighbourhood Houses, Learning Centres and other adult education centres where the NTEU has coverage. NTEU has about 200 members employed in this sector, which includes both Adult Education and private education providers in Victoria.

Most of the NTEU’s members in the Adult Education sector are covered by one of two Collective Agreements.

Nearly all of the members not covered by these Agreements will be covered by the Educational Services (Post-Secondary Education) Award 2010, which sets minimum salaries and conditions.
