National Indigenous Forum 2011

The NTEU Indigenous Policy Committee will conduct the 2011 NTEU National Indigenous Forum on 6th and 7th of May, at the NTEU National Office in Melbourne.  The theme of Forum 2011 is ‘The Pathway to Action – Respecting Culture, Respecting Staff’.  This year Professor Steve Larkin, Pro-Vice Chancellor Indigenous Leadership at Charles Darwin University and Chair of the Indigenous Higher Education Advisory Council will address delegates.

 

Forum 2011 will include an opportunity to gain a unique insight into Kulin Nations’ culture, with delegates invited to participated Walkin Birrarung - the Yarra Cultural River Walk on Friday afternoon. http://www.koorieheritagetrust.com/public_programs/tours/walkin_birrarung_the_yarra_river

 

All Indigenous members, branch and division offices are soon to receive an information pack including the programme and memo via email. To express your interest in attending Indigenous Forum 2011, please complete the accompanying form and return it via fax or email to National Office by no later than Monday the 4th of April 2011
