Back to University of Queensland
The Curlew Club
Friday 11 November 1 PM
Lawn outside the University Art Museum. In the event of rain we'll meet in the NTEU office room 412 Seddon Building (82D) above the lecture theatre (map)
National Tertiary Education Union members are invited to gather on the second Friday of each month for an informal get-together, to share lunch and work stories, and discuss issues of concern with union staff members.
The gathering is named after the small population of the Bush Stone Curlew, that gathers on the lawns and shrubby areas of the St Lucia campus.
Please bring along your lunch and views to the lawn outside the University Art Museum (weather permitting).
The selection of future gathering places will be subject to vigorous democratic debate, with consideration to weather, UV radiation levels, as well as comfort and convenience.
Similarly the selection of topics for discussion will invite the same level of lively, participatory debate. In the true Socratic tradition of the University we will endeavour to feast on the dialectical opposites of stimulation and relaxation!
See you there!
