ACTU Campaign on Work Rights in Fiji

Posted 27 September 2011 by Jen T. Kwok (NTEU National Office)

Following Fiji Trades Union Congress (FTUC) President Daniel Urai being arrested for holding an ‘illegal’ meeting on 2 September 2011, workers in Australia and New Zealand held rallies in Sydney and Canberra to protest against the Fiji military regime. For more information about the campaign for workers rights in Fiji, see the ACTU's blog here. Sign the Labour Start petition here.
