Captain of Industry again attacks TAFE cuts in Victoria

Posted 11 September 2012 by Carmel Shute (NTEU National Office)

Innes Willox, CEO of the Australian Industry Group, has challenged the Victorian Government on its $290 million cuts to TAFE, calling for a “total rethink” on its policy which will rob Australia of vitally needed skills. He also criticised the cuts in a recent Press Club debate.

Let's hope he takes the same attitude to 'Can Do' Newman's proposal to reduce the number of TAFEs in Queensland from 82 to 44.
