At a meeting of members on Wednesday 8th June 2005, almost 100 Bond University general staff voted to stop work for 2 hours to protest management’s withdrawal from EB negotiations.Almost 100 members of general staff at Bond Uni gathered in a spirited mood for the stop work rally and barbeque on Thursday 16th. They are determined that the management should resume negotiations over a collective agreement. They are also determined to resist management efforts to entice people to sign an AWA which we think removes some important protections for staff. Many staff had already done a comparison of the AWA with the current EB conditions, and were not impressed with the AWA . Read here a clause-by-clause initial analysis by the NTEU of the AWA offered.
