CQU facing challenges
John Rickard | 7 May 2008 | The Australian
An extract from Rickard's reply: Regarding what Fitzgerald calls a viability audit, CQU and the state and federal governments recognise the challenges faced by the sector in sustaining and delivering education and conducting research across a geographically dispersed service area such as central Queensland.
As such, CQU and the federal and Queensland governments have agreed to co-operate on an independent review to analyse and evaluate the university’s financial structure and operations.
The collaboration, believed to be the first of its kind, demonstrates a shared interest in the delivery of quality education services throughout regional and rural Queensland.
