PUBLIC MEETING - Bradley Review

(Federal Government Review of Australian Higher Education)

The NTEU organised a Public Meeting on the 22nd July 2008 to discuss the issues raised by the Bradley Review of Higher Education.

This meeting was held at the University of Adelaide and was attended by a wide range of staff from the three South Australian Universities.

The NTEU National President, Carolyn Allport, provided an interesting and informative perspective on the key challenges and issues which the Bradley Review must address in relation to the future Federal Government's higher education policy.

The two other speakers were Lavinia Emmett-Grey (BA), President of the Adelaide University Union, and Sigrid Christiansen (PhD/Casual Tutor), the NTEU SA Division Casual Representative.

The first Formal Collective Bargaining meeting will be held next Monday 25th August.

Members will be kept informed of progress by regular updates with Flinders NTEU Branch Newsletters and E-Bulletins.

The Flinders Branch NTEU Delegate network is very important.

NTEU rely on the active participation and energy of our members in pursuing equality and justice in the workplace.

Casual membership rates are based on estimated annual earnings:
