Latest News and Actvities
Industrial action averted by last minute negotiations
The planned industrial action at the end of Semester 2 has been averted with last minute negotiations leading to significant progress in academic workload regulation and casual conditions.
The branch committee thanks all members for their solidarity and commitment in what has been a tense week of negotiations.
Whilst the collective agreement is not yet finalised, no further industrial action is contemplated this year. However, the NTEU Griffith Branch will contemplate further action at the beginning of Semester 1 2010 if the current positive progress deteriorates or key issues remain outstanding at that time.
We hope that members will enjoy a decent break over the holiday period and hope it is a safe and peaceful period for all.
