National Day of Community Protest
The National Day of Protest against the Government’s IR changes was a tremendous success. Amongst the 30-40,000 reported as attending the central Sydney demonstrations, up to a thousand NTEU members gathered at Belmore Park in Sydney, a big proportion of the NTEU’s metropolitan membership. Many more NTEU members joined around 150,000 workers who met at 263 suburban and regional venues around NSW, and over half a million around the country. Congratulations and thank you to all who took part.
