Northern Rivers Unionists Network

NRUN is a network of local unionists, individuals and community groups in the Lismore area seeking broad support for and broad involvement in:

  • Protecting and improving the livelihoods and living standards of working Australians
  • Asserting people’s right to collectively bargain in the workplace and be represented by a union
  • Offering support to people having difficulties in the workplace due to the unfair, unjust and oppressive ‘Work Choices’ legislation.
  • Campaigning for people’s workplace rights and related issues.

NRUN) meets fortnightly on Tuesdays at 5:15pm in the IEU/ASU Office, 4 Carrington Street, Lismore. The next meeting dates are 14 November and 28 November 2006. Anyone in the Lismore area interested in helping defeat the federal government’s unfair workplace laws are urged to attend.
