NTEU AMC AMALGAMATION UPDATE

 Since the amalgamation of AMC with UTAS was mooted last year, NTEU has worked to ensure the best possible outcome for members. As the Union which represents staff in all Australian universities, we understand the complex legal arrangements which underlie the amalgamation. NTEU has and will continue to work to achieve a single Collective Agreement for all staff because we know that will deliver the best results for all staff. Now is not the time to be left on your own or without the protection and support of a well-resourced, present and committed Union – your NTEU.

 

NTEU has not stood by or agreed to a proposed arrangement for the amalgamation. We have been negotiating with management to get the best deal for all NTEU members. We will not agree to any system which doesn’t lock in your terms and conditions for the future and which isn’t enforceable by NTEU on your behalf. For NTEU, the legalese is checked and drafted by experienced Industrial Officers and lawyers – remember, this is what NTEU does when so much is at stake.
