May 2008 Log-of-Claims

The UTS branch of the NTEU sent the log-of-claims endorsed by the membership to Vice-Chancellor Professor Ross Milbourne on Friday 30 May 2008, and notified him that the NTEU wished to open negotiations at UTS for a new Collective Agreement which would include:

(a) improved pay outcomes;

(b) restoration into a new Agreement of conditions that the Union agreed to remove in 2006, so that UTS would gain funding contingent on complying with the former Federal Government’s idealogical agenda (the so-called HEWRRs); and

(c) preparing the ground for the abolition of WorkChoices legislation.
