  5. Fair Work Act Bullying Amendments

    Amendments to the Fair Work Act to provide protection against bullying have been passed. 

    The Bill was passed in the first week of June, with the bullying schedule to take effect from 1 January 2014, not 1 July 2013 as was originally proposed.

  6. UTAS staff vote for industrial action

    NTEU members at UTAS have decided to take industrial action starting this month in an attempt to improve outcomes in negotiations around their collective agreement.  The NTEU have been in negotiations with UTAS management about a new collective agreement since December 2012.
