UWS Administrative Review - Have you been involved?

Posted 29 July 2010 by Kaylene Field (University of Western Sydney)

The NTEU wants to make sure your contributions are heard.

In 2009 the Administrative Review report was unable to draw an accurate conclusion about the success of the changes introduced based on insufficient information to report on. Phase 3 of the UWS Administrative Review is currently underway, and the next meeting of the Executive Working Party is scheduled for the 7th August.

The NTEU is interested in your feedback

How you would describe changes that you have experienced in your work area?

There continues to be reviews and changes within the Library particularly to the role of Liaison Librarian but also for Loans staff, the reviews have recommenced this week. Liaison Librarians have been asked for imput into how a structual change from Schhools to Colleges will help increase student retention rates, that the liaison role will expand meaning more responsibilities but no recognition of said responsibilities with a tangible pay increase, hew6 will be doing the job of hew7, with micromanagement firmly in place, not happy and have no idea how to word my feelings without being given the option that if I do not like said changes I have the option to leave, Carol
