Australia’s regional universities are important sources of local employment, provide education and research for regional industry, and support local social, sporting and cultural activities.

If Australia’s regions are to prosper in the future, and access to university is to be open more widely, it is critical that regional universities continue to have the capacity to deliver high quality levels of education and research and community service.
