NTEU holding Casuals Career Seminar

Posted 10 August 2010 by Atosha McCaw (Vic Division)

The NTEU Victorian Division is holding a professional development seminar for casuals and sessional academics working in universities, held on Friday 21 August.

Register today at http://www.universitycareers.org.au/

We know it can be difficult to "break into" full-time ongoing employment at universities - that's why we're holding this seminar - to give you the knowledge and inside information that will give your career an edge.

Senior university academics, responsible for appointments and supervising staff, will be on hand to give you frank and fearless advice. They include:

o Associate Professor Sean Cooney from the Melbourne Law School
o Dean of Arts, Prof. Rae Francis from Monash University
o Head of School, Social Sciences, Prof Greg McCarthy from Adelaide University
o and more...

Places are limited, so register now. Tickets are $75 (or $25 for NTEU members). The seminar will take place at Conferences on Clarendon, 120 Clarendon St, South Melbourne, on Friday 21 August 2010 from 9am.

This seminar is open to casual and sessional academics at all Victorian universities - you do not need to be an NTEU member to register.
