Get Involved
A local union branch structure exists at all university institutions, run and organised by members. Branches also exist in TAFE institutions where the NTEU has coverage, as well as other institutions (such as the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners).
The Branch has an elected committee and executive, which meet regularly and discuss local issues raised by members. Branches are central to the process of enterprise bargaining and ensure that the Union is abreast of local issues and concerns.
Your local NTEU Branch is the place to find out more about the activities of the Union, to get involved and play a role in the running of your Union.
Branches may also have either union delegates, contact people or department representatives. Contact your Branch to find out who your delegate is or find out more about what's involved in becoming an NTEU delegate in your workplace.
