NTEU’s National Indigenous Unit oversees the development and implementation of Indigenous policy at a national level.

 

National Indigenous Officer

 

National Indigenous Officer Adam Frogley leads the Unit and has responsibility for supporting the ITEPC and coordinating the annual national members conference (the Forum).

 

Adam, who replaced Joel Wright in the position in July 2007, is a Taungerong man from Healesville in Melbourne’s outer east. Adam has held many positions in State/Local Government and higher education, particularly the role of Manager, Indigenous Programs at Swinburne University of Technology.

Industrial & Indigenous Support Officer

 

The new role of Industrial and Indigenous Support Officer will provide administrative support and work across the Industrial and Indigenous Units. Kelly Drayton was appointed in the new role in June.

 

Kelly is from the Kurnai community in West Gippsland and has held a number of administrative and project management roles including the position of Resources Officer in the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (International) at Monash University, and more recently was a STEPERS Consultant with the Salvation Army Employment Plus.
