Activists Training Activists
The Activists Training Activists model has already produced two modules for development and delivery: Getting Involved and Workplace Bullying. Both modules are about an hour in length and can be delivered in a lunch break or over a short period.
The 2003 WAC Committee chose the development of a training module focused on career advancement for women. In this context the focus was on promotion processes for academics and classification/evaluation processes for general staff.
Subsequently WAC members, National Office staff and some rank and file activists have been working on two modules called Applying for Advancement, one for general staff and one for academic staff.
Currently a number of resources for these modules are being finalised and it is anticipated that the package will be available for delivery in the Branches in early November.
