Delegates & Organising II
Module Overview
The advanced module for more experienced delegates focuses on recruitment, organising techniques and strategies, campaigning and enterprise bargaining implementation and handling members issues. This module is a one-day module AT MINIMUM but can be extended to run over 2 days.
We can also tailor this module to meet specific Branch needs. This might include replacing some modules with others or extending existing modules.
Module Objectives
By the end of this module participants will be able to:
- Outline the key principles underpinning the organising work of the union
- Identify the role of Delegates in organising and recruitment work including knowledge of the resources and materials available for such work
- Understand the need to link industrial and recruitment campaigns to ensure favourable outcomes and maximum returns for members and the Branch
- Outline the role of Delegates in enterprise bargaining
- Outline a basic approach to handling members issues including understanding the Branch protocols and procedures
- Apply such an approach to a structured case study including providing feedback and analysis of the outcomes.
