Handling Members' Issues
Module Overview
A 2 hour or half day module for experienced Delegates and members wishing to provide assistance to members on individual industrial issues. The module provides basic guidelines and strategies and an opportunity to analyse a number of case studies drawn from members' experiences.
Module Objectives
By the end of this module participants will be able to:
- List the most common types of disputes handled by Branch Officers
- List the information and skills needed to effectively handle a members issue
- Identify the Branch protocols and procedures for handling members issues
- Discuss the application of NTEU non-members policy when dealing with issues in the workplace
- Apply the framework to a case study
