Organising Your Branch (Training for New Committees)
Module Overview
This is a one-day module for newly elected Branch Committee members. Essentially packaged as a planning day for new Committees, the module affords them an opportunity to clarify their roles and responsibilities and develop a workable plan for managing their Branch work.
Module Objectives
By the end of this module participants will be able to:
- Understand the roles and responsibilities of Office Bearers, Committee members and the Committee as a whole
- Identify the key elements of the structure and functions of the NTEU at all levels
- Identify some practical recruitment and organising strategies to apply within the Branch
- Discuss the key issues for the Branch, including preliminary strategies for dealing with such issues.
