Academic Workload Model Framework - Consultation Opens
NTEU Branch Committee members Viv Farrell and Jim Latham have been leading an NTEU Academic Workloads Model negotiating team over the past 6 months. NTEU and Swinburne have now reached a negotiated outcome with very few matters left outstanding, and have decided it is time to get on with the next step of consultation towards implementation rather than spending another six months negotiating the final outstanding elements of the framework. We will maintain a strong dialogue with the University team and we hope to resolve the extant matters following the advice of members through a 6 week consultation period.
The Negotiated Academic Workloads Model (NAWM) can be found on the NTEU website and we encourage members to contact Jim Latham or Branch organising staff to provide feedback, ask questions and clarify concerns.
NTEU Delegates will be conducting Faculty meetings in the next three weeks to properly explain the NAWM, the negotiations, and the next steps in the process. We will be in contact shortly with the meeting schedule.
