Welcome to the National Tertiary Education Union's homepage for staff employed by Indigenous Education Providers.
The NTEU has actively supported the struggles of Australia’s Indigenous Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people for equality and justice – including in the sphere of tertiary education. Part of this has been negotiating pay and conditions for members employed at Indigenous education institutions, and in supporting the growth and development of these institutions.
For a list of workplaces at which NTEU has members, click here.
NTEU has negotiated Collective Agreements for its members at Indigenous education institutions. If you would like to see the Agreement applying to an Indigenous education institution, click here. NTEU members not covered by one of these Agreements are likely to be covered by the Educational Services Post Compulsory Award 2010, which sets minimum salaries and conditions
NTEU has designated elected positions for Indigenous members at each level of the Union, and an Indigenous Policy Committee. For more information, please visit our Indigenous site.
