Other membership categories
1. Associate Members
ONLY post-graduate students can be Associate Members. The annual
fee for these members will be $55.00 (GST inclusive). This
entitles you to receive publications and membership benefits and
discounts such as Union Shopper. However you are not entitled to
stand or vote in any Union election nor to receive industrial
assistance.

2. Past Members
Former members of the Union who ceased to be eligible to be a
member of the Union may apply to belong to the Past Members
Association (PMA). They shall pay a membership fee of $55.00(GST
inclusive) and shall receive such materials, publications and
information as the General Secretary or relevant Branch or
Division Secretary deem appropriate.

3. Unemployed members
Apart from current financial members, unemployed members are entitled to join as full members, have full membership entitlements & pay the casual fee.
An unemployed member is categorised as a person qualified to be
employed in, and seeking to be employed in, an occupation
that would make that person eligible to be a member of the
Union.

4. Life members
National Council may confer life membership on any member of the Union 'who has rendered special or valuable services to the Union'. Life members are exempt from paying any dues or levies.
