University of Melbourne Bargaining Update
Over the past months, the NTEU has been meeting with members about issues that are important to them in the workplace. A log of claims for your Collective Agreement Negotiations has been developed out of feedback from members meetings, survey responses and discussions with workplace delegates and activists. A summary of the log of claims was sent to all members, and can be found below.
This week, NTEU Organisers and branch committee members have held meetings across campuses to discuss the log of claims with members in more detail, and to report on the next steps of the campaign for a better university. Members at meetings so far have endorsed the log of claims, and meetings of members at Parkville and the VCA passed a motion that “The University of Melbourne Branch of the National Tertiary Education Union approve the log of claims as tabled”.
Meetings and campus visits to all campuses will continue over the next few weeks, and members have been emailed with the date and time for upcoming meetings at their campus.
