COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER
(Publications and Web)
The NTEU is seeking applications for a Communications Officer (Publications and Web) to provide high quality editorial, writing and production services for the Union’s national hard copy publications and Website.
As part of the Union’s Officers and Central Resources Team the Communications Officer will work directly with the Union’s General Secretary and will:
· Plan, lay-out, design and write for NTEU publications.
· Provide advice and assistance to Union Divisions and Branches on the design and use of publications and websites.
The Union currently produces three national magazines and maintains a comprehensive Website. The successful applicant will initially work on a review of these publications and the Union’s broader internal communications strategy.
Highly developed writing skills, a commitment to trade unionism and experience in lay-out and Website production/management, are essential requirements for this position. Knowledge of the tertiary education sector or experience in journalism or public advocacy would be an advantage.

Salary and superannuation in the range of NTEU Level 6 ($59,073 - $64,761) or NTEU Level 7 ($67,296 - $74,013) depending on skills and experience. The Position Description is available on request.
