NTEU Elections: Nominations extended

RE-CALL OF NOMINATIONS

Nominations for the current elections closed on 6 August 2003.  The registered rules of the Union require nominations to be extended for those positions where no nomination or insufficient nominations were received.

In accordance with NTEIU rule 72.15, nominations are called for the vacant positions (see list on Elections page)

Written nominations, which comply with the Rules of the Union must reach the relevant Returning Officer not later than 12 Noon on Monday 25 August 2003.

Nominations cannot be withdrawn after 12 Noon on Monday 1 September 2003.

Nomination forms are available from the Returning Officer or the Union on request.

Note: Candidate’s statements and photographs in accordance with Rule 79 must be submitted to the relevant Returning Officer by 12 Noon on Monday 25 August 2003.

CHANGE OF BALLOT DATES

The ballot dates originally advertised for elections in Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia and Queensland are cancelled.  Ballots resulting from the first call for nominations and any ballots that may arise from this recall for nominations will open on 15 September 2003.  The ballot will close at 9am on Monday 29 September 2003.

 

NOTE: A copy of the AEC’s election report can be obtained from the organisation or from the AEC after the completion of the election.
