Funding - Higher Education & TAFE

Public tertiary education institutions are, by definition, dependent on Government for funding support.  Levels of funding, and the balance between public and private sources of income, fundamentally affect NTEU members professional and industrial interests, as well as the capacity of public education institutions to meet the community’s needs and expectations.

Consequently, the NTEU places a high priority on maintaining accurate and up-to-date information about institutional funding.  This information informs our representations to Government and our support for enterprise bargaining.
