NTEU Submission on Education in the Regions
The NTEU has prepared a submission to the House of Representatives Standing committee on Primary Industry and Regional Services Inquiry into Infrastructure and the Development of Australia's Regional areas. The submission examines the role of education in regional communities and economies, and identifies a number of Government policies impeding role of education in regional development such as the effects of cuts in institutional funding and the likely effects of the Higher Education Legislation (Amendment) Bill.
For further information about the progress of the Inquiry, contact Greg McConville in the National Office.
