Distance Education and Flexible Modes of Delivery
Australian universities are among the world pioneers in distance education, partly because of the geographic dispersion of the population. However, globalisation and the growth of online delivery across national borders have added a new dimension to our work in this area. Information and communication technologies (ICT) are rapidly transforming the business of teaching and learning
NTEU participates in debates about transnational education and the use of ICT-based teaching at both national and international levels, highlighting in particular issues of quality, equity, governance and the professional and industrial issues of staff involved in this work.
