ALRC Sedition Law Review The Australian Law Reform Commission (ALRC) has been asked to review the sedition provisions of the new anti-terrorism legislation that was passed in November 2005. As part of this review the ALRC sought submissions to its Issues Paper, to which the NTEU prepared and submitted a response. ARC Amendment Submission The Senate Employment, Workplace Relations and Education Legislation Committee is conducting an inquiry into the provisions of the Australian Research Council (ARC) Amendment Bill. New Matilda Human Rights Bill Submission The National Tertiary Education Union reviewed New Matilda's draft Human Rights Bill and prepared a submission outlining suggested amendments and improvements to the draft Human Rights Bill. Follow this link to download the Union's submission. 
Learning and Teaching Performance Fund The NTEU has made a submission to the discussion paper on the Learning and Teaching Performance Fund. The NTEU outlines its major concerns with the mechanisms used to allocate LTPF funding. 
ACT inquiry into draft terrorism Bill The ACT undertook an inquiry into their Exposure Draft Terrorism (Extraordinary Temporary Powers) Bill 2005 in January 2006. The NTEU prepared a submission, which can be downloaded by following this link. The Union also gave evidence to the inquiry in support of the submission. 
3rd Stream Activities Funding The NTEU has written to PhillipsKPA Pty Ltd outlining the Union's perspectives in relation to Government support for the “third stream” or knowledge transfer activities of Australian universities.
