Occupational Stress and Workloads
NTEU has been involved in a number of studies exploring the increase in workloads and stress experienced by university staff over the past decade, and we are using this research primarily to
- add weight to our lobbying for increased public funds and improved student:staff ratios;
- assist Branches and Divisions in developing appropriate policy and industrial strategies regarding workplace and stress at an institutional level; and
- inform national and local campaigns around these issues.

| Occupational Stress in Australian Universities (2002) | The study is the most comprehensive national survey carried out to date of occupational stress in Australias universities. It is a collaborative project between the National Tertiary Education Union and researchers from the University of South Australia, Swinburne University of Technology, Sydney Stress Management Centre and the University of Melbourne.
