Sustainability Network at UWS
The NTEU UWS Sustainability Network has swung back into action, with a meeting held on July 29. The Network aims to find ways of improving staff and student participation in and awareness of sustainability initiatives, projects and events around UWS.
The Network seeks to strengthen the links between our local network and active projects, the UWS Greening Taskforce and the NTEU NSW Sustainability Network to ensure members can actively participate in and contribute to sustainability initiatives, both on and off campus.
If you would like to get involved in the NTEU Sustainability Network, in ways big or small, please contact your local branch by sending an email to: uws@nsw.nteu.org.au

Sustainability Tip:
Easy on your purse ... easy on the environment: BYO mug.
Did you know that if you buy one cup of coffee a day at UWS and use the UWS Connect BYO mug you can save around $100 per year!
Not to mention the waste of paper cups sent to landfill ... UWS has almost 40,000 students, fellows, faculty, and staff. If each person were to buy one coffee a day, every day, UWS would send over 14 million coffee cups to the landfill every year.
