    We have received some questions asking us about the Vice Chancellor’s assertion that we had reached an Agreement and were subsequently overruled by or National Office. This assertion is untrue.
     
    NTEU is a union that operates across local (CSU Branch), state and national levels of the higher education sector. These levels work collaboratively to provide members with fair and effective working conditions that support the work they do for our university communities.
     
    All levels of our Union have been focused on this during bargaining and all levels of the NTEU remain committed to negotiating an Agreement that provides fair wages and conditions for CSU staff.
     
    Your local NTEU bargaining team, lead by Jane Battersby and Len Palmer, negotiates with management around a log of claims endorsed by NTEU CSU members. They also keep in contact with the other levels of the Union as part of a bargaining strategy designed to ensure an individual university does not undercut staff conditions.
