Attention Casual Academics - Know your rights at work! NTEU Forum

Posted 31 July 2012 by Kiraz Janicke (University of New South Wales)

A recent NTEU national survey of casual academic staff in Australian universities shows that many casual academic staff work over and above what they are paid for. Many do not have access to the resources necessary to do their job properly.

Do you know your workplace rights?

Are you paid for induction?

Are you paid separately for marking?

Are you always seeing students after class and not getting paid?

Do you receive payment for “other activities” in accordance with the Agreement?

The NTEU UNSW Branch invites you to a forum about your workplace rights.

Casual Academics – Know your rights at work!

When: Wednesday, 8th of August, from 12pm to 1pm.
Where: Webster Building, Room 334.

Please come along to this important forum and tell us about YOUR workplace conditions.
