   Welcome to the NTEU's site for you to provide your response directly to ANU's Vice-Chancellor on his 're-positioning' strategy. The NTEU has provided a letter which summarises the flawed nature of this proposed strategy and asks the Vice-Chancellor to abandon it before it causes additional damage to the University. Moreover, as the Union has argued, I am not convinced that the ANU is actually facing any real financial crisis, particularly given the surpluses it continues to have and the large portfolio of investments it maintains.&nbsp;</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>I believe it is unacceptable to seek to close disciplines&nbsp;arbitrarily&nbsp;or remove staff based on the flawed argument of 'relative performance'. We have seen the enormous damage this has done to the University of Sydney and the staff who work in it. It is critical the ANU does not try this approach and bring about the same here.</div> </div> </div> </div> </blockquote> <blockquote> <div> <div> <div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>I urge you to abandon your proposed strategy before further damaging conflict develops.
