Welcome to the UQ Branch of the NTEU!
The NTEU at the University of Queensland actively represents the collective voice of staff at the University. Through constructively engaging with the management of the university, the union aims to ensure that our members' working lives are rewarding and fulfilling. The benefits that all staff enjoy at the University have often come only after pressure from the union through negotiation, campaigning, and, at times, industrial action.
Our branch welcomes new members. We encourage all staff at UQ to join, as the first step in demonstrating a willingness to contribute to the well-being of themselves and their colleagues. Our ability to advance the interests of staff depends upon the commitment by each and every staff member to participate in the union.
We also have highly experienced, dedicated industrial officers to assist in the resolution of issues that our members encounter at work.
Below are posts to the blog site from the UQ Branch, and the State and National Divisions of the union.
