Indigenous Policy Committee (IPC) Elections
The NTEU would like to congratulate Jillian Miller and Terry Mason on their election to the positions of Indigenous Policy Committee Chair and Deputy Chair respectively.
Jillian Miller is a Mirning woman with family ties to the West Coast of South Australia and is the Coordinator of Indigenous Student Services at the David Unaipon College of Indigenous Education and Research at the University of South Australia. Terry Mason is a Senior Lecturer at the Badanami Centre at the University of Western Sydney and was the previously the Chair of the IPC, holding the position for two terms.
The Union sincerely thanks the outgoing Chair, Terry Mason and Deputy Chair, Craig Somerville and departing members of the IPC on their achievements during the previous term. We look forward to working with the new membership of the Indigenous Policy Committee to better employment opportunities and conditions for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander academic and general staff.
