Petition to support Dr Jan-Piet Knijff

On Tuesday the 6th of March Dr Jan-Piet Knijff was dismissed from his lecturing position in Music at the University of New England. Dr Knijff is a highly regarded teacher, is very active in the Armidale music scene and community, and his talents are in demand internationally.

Apart from the egregious blow to the University and the Armidale community arising from Dr Knijff’s dismissal, it is the position of the NTEU that the dismissal was unfair and procedurally incorrect.

I, the undersigned, support the immediate re-instatement of Dr Jan-Piet to his position at the University of New England.

A public meeting to update Jan-Piet's supporters will be held at the Uniting Church Armidale, on Friday 23 March from 12:00 - 2:00 pm.
