In Curtin University’s May 16, 2012 letter to the NTEU, management cast doubt on whether our advocacy for a Single Agreement covering all employees of Curtin University is supported by the majority of general staff, and asked us a series of questions about the single Agreement approach. All of the unions covering general staff at Curtin University support a single Agreement, and we have no doubt that this reflects the majority view of Curtin general staff employees. We would be surprised if this was not the case given that general staff employment conditions across the University sector are always superior when forming part of a single Agreement. We explain this core point in the following answers (attached) to the specific questions management has posed to us.
