Academic Workloads
Academic workloads at VU are regulated by the Academic Workloads Model (the Model), and clause 45 of the Victoria University (Academic & General Staff) Enterprise Agreement 2011
The Model is able to be changed during the life of the Enterprise Agreement by agreement between the NTEU and University management through the Workload Model Review Committee (WMRC)
The following document, Academic Workloads Model - current 13 May 2011, represents the current state of the Model (incorporating all changes since the Model’s inception) and as varied by the terms of the document Workload Model Changes Agreement - signed - 10 May 2011 and clause 45 Workloads Academic Staff of the Agreement as follows:
45.2 The following items shall be deleted from the Implementation Provisions section of the Model
a) The section headed “Funded projects”; and
b) The section headed “Workload allocation review panel”.

45.4 Reference to the Workload Model Review Reference Group (WMRRG) will be replaced by the Workload Model Review Committee (WMRC). The WMRC will consist of 3 nominees of the University and 3 nominees of the President of the VU Branch of the NTEU.
45.5 Following the approval of this Agreement the WMRC will meet to discuss and will be able to agree to changes to the architecture (including the structure, governance, processes and application) of the Model. …

45.7 Where staff have concerns about their workload allocation the dispute settling procedures under clause 59.2 shall apply.
