Blue Stocking Week at ECU (13-17 August)

“Breaking down the barriers to women’s postgraduate education”

This year the NTEU and NUS are reviving and revamping Bluestocking Week (13-17 August) with great events across the country celebrating women in higher education.

The NTEU is hosting a special networking, nibbles and presentation event for Bluestocking Week at the Joondalup campus of ECU on Tuesday, 14th August, between 11.00am and 12.30pm.  Our guest speaker, Felicity Farrelly (President of Graduate Women WA), will discuss “Breaking down the barriers to women’s postgraduate education” at 11.30am, Building 32 Foyer, with light refreshments provided.

A university-wide online quiz (with prizes) will also be conducted throughout the week and badges and bookmarks will be handed out at various venues across the university.

The NUS and ECU Women's Community are hosting a morning tea at Mount Lawley campus on Monday 13th August, 9.00am - 11.00am, Room 17.221 where tea, coffee, milo and snacks will be provided.

All students and staff are welcome to participate in all events.
