Blue Stocking Week event at CQUniversity in Rockhampton, Queensland

Bluestocking Week Lunch at CQUniversity in Rockhampton, Queensland

Women at CQU (Rockhampton) are kicking off Bluestocking Week with a celebratory lunch, to be held on Thursday 9th August, 2012, commencing at 12 noon.

Venue: Senior Common Room, Student Residences (Capricornia College), Rockhampton

Cost: $20 per head

Guest Speaker: Professor Sonj Hall, CQUniversity Director of the Health Collaborative Research Network

 

About our Guest Speaker:

Sonj Hall has a career spanning leadership positions across the government, healthcare and academic sectors. She has provided stewardship for strategic health policy development for national and state governments. Sonj has used her research background to promote evidence-based policy to address community needs whilst maintaining a whole-of-system perspective to the provision of effective, safe and efficient health care.

In 2005-06, Sonj was awarded a Harkness Fellowship in Healthcare Policy by the Commonwealth Fund New York. Sonj has a PhD and a Master of Public Health from The University of Western Australia and a Bachelor of Arts from Macquarie University. She undertook her registered nurse training at Hammersmith Hospital, London and completed a post-graduate certificate in cardio-thoracic nursing at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney.
