International Women's Day 2011

Posted 8 February 2011 by Fran Blackbourn (ACT Division)

Who would you nominate for a top 100 list of women in higher education?

In the 100th year of International Women’s Day the NTEU ACT Division would like to focus our IWD celebration on the outstanding contributions women have made to higher education in the ACT. We want to honour 100 great women in higher education!

If you would like to make a nomination of a woman who is currently working, or has worked, in higher education please tell us their name, and a sentence or two in the comments or email it to Fran Blackbourn via email: fblackbourn@nteu.org.au

A note for your diary: We are planning to celebrate IWD at Teatro Vivaldi’s 4.45pm on IWD Tuesday 8th March 2011.

[ -4 ] - Barbara van Leeuwen, Patricia Backwell and Adrienne Hardham are all fantastic and inspiring science lecturers at ANU
    - Carol Hayes is a great Japanese lecturer at ANU who often implements different technologies in her classes to facilitate language learning

(sorry, not 100% sure what their current titles are so I have omitted them)
